System Overview

A Fire Fighting System is an integrated network of pipelines, pumps, valves, hydrants, and sprinklers that work together to detect, control, and extinguish fires at an early stage.

The system includes two major types of risers:

1. Wet Riser System

The Wet Riser is a network of pipes permanently charged with pressurized water. It ensures that in the event of a fire, water is instantly available at all landing valves on every floor, allowing fire personnel to connect hoses and begin firefighting operations immediately.
Wet risers are typically installed in high-rise buildings (above 60 meters), commercial complexes, and critical facilities where quick response time is crucial.

2. Dry Riser System

The Dry Riser remains empty under normal conditions. It is charged with water only when the Fire Brigade connects its pump at the ground inlet point during an emergency.
This type of system is preferred for buildings where internal pressurization is not feasible or required.

3. Automatic Sprinkler System

Automatic Sprinklers form a vital part of most commercial and residential fire protection setups.
Each sprinkler head is temperature-sensitive and activates automatically when exposed to heat, discharging water directly over the affected area.
This helps control and extinguish fire at the source, minimizing damage, preventing spread, and providing valuable time for evacuation.
